Parking
One brilliant benefit of our B&B, the Corra Lynn is that we have one car parking space per room, 6 spaces in total. We use all spaces in front of our B&B, including the 1 in front of our front door and the 1 next to the gate.
This is the most frequent question we get asked – parking and is it guaranteed?
The answers are Yes we have parking and Yes it is one guaranteed car parking space per room.
- You can use the parking outside our B&B from 10.30am on the morning of arrival.
- You can come and go as you please with the car parking whilst you are staying with us, however we are only a 5-8 mins walk from the town centre and the beach so you can get everywhere by foot.
- You can use the parking up until 10.30am on your morning of departure.
When we visited Whitby many many years before we moved here in 2014, there were very few parking restrictions around the town. In 2014 there was the introduction of park and ride, zone parking areas and scratch cards.
Park and ride – park in the car park about a mile outside Whitby then catch the bus into Whitby. Ticket prices are from £2.50 and are valid for the day (Ticket prices are valid at the time of typing – March 2022). Normally open April-October.
Just as general information – parking in Whitby has become quite expensive and hard to find. Apart from the park and ride, there are 3 options for parking – disc parking (need to display a disc with the time of arrival – valid for 2 hours), scratch cards – available from tourist information and valid for 24 hours or 4 days, or private car parks – around £10 for 1 day.
