Welcome to 2021
I think 2020 was life changing for most of us, if not all of us. I always try to stay optimistic, no matter what the circumstances (this year proved a challenge at times)
and so as the new year 2021 starts, I am looking forward to what I can do this year as opposed to what I haven’t been able to do last year (How lovely it is, to pop 2020 firmly in the past and now say ‘last year’).
So lets cheer in 2021 (picture below taken in the summer!)
At the moment it might still feel a bit different with our restrictions. Whitby and North Yorkshire are now in Tier 3 so we are unable to open for the moment however I have made Simon a list and he will be busy decorating at least for the next month then I will just add things to his list as the weeks tick bye.
I’ve never been one to make resolutions but I have made a list of things I would like to start or to continue doing this year. Top of my list is sea swimming, I’ve yet to venture in this year (well its only January 1st!!) but I will definitely be heading in the sea next week. I also would like to try paddle boarding and surfing once again, though I think I might wait for the temperatures to get a little warmer. I would like to explore a bit more of the UK, we live in an amazing country and I feel 2021 will definitely be the year to try a few adventures in our country both for myself and my children.
For those planning 2021 holidays in Whitby, we ask you to make a booking sooner rather than later and we will take deposits later on, this winter when we know that there are firm plans with regard to our re-opening date. We are so hoping that our opening date will be on Friday April 2nd – Good Friday, start of the Easter weekend.

Here in Whitby, we are surrounded by amazing scenery, whether it is the coastal walks, time on the beach exploring rock pools, building sandcastles, meandering around Whitby, the museums, the shops plus bracing yourself for the 199 steps up to the Abbey or heading slightly inland via the steam train to the North York Moors Park. There are lots of useful bits of information on my blogs, on our Facebook page plus on our website. Plus we have some amazing restaurants and bars both with or without a seaview here in Whitby and Sandsend. I will try to do as much as possible to help you plan your holiday in Whitby and experience all you can to make a holiday in Whitby simply amazing.
All our 6 en suite rooms will still include an amazing cooked breakfast by Simon and one car parking space per room.
